I Don't Like That!

Yay, with the robust help of my good friend Melinda, a million software apps, and a gazillion conversations with Kindle Direct Publishing, some a bit heated, I managed to publish my 3rd children's book I Don't Like That!

Henrietta is a little girl who complains about everything, including when her dog Waldo plops down on her foot during dinner. She makes such a nuisance of herself that she is sent to bed early, where she decides to teach everyone a lesson. However, she soon learns that her dissatisfaction comes from within herself and that really she is the one who needs a change of heart.

I really did have a sweet Australian terrier named Waldo, featured also in my other children's picture book Jasmine's Heart.

Here he is at age 6 months being shown by me in his first puppy class, which he won!
This book is partly dedicated to Waldo, gone from my arms but never from my heart.

Huck was the star of my first children's picture book Jacob and the Coronavirus, so he thought he would be the star of every one of my books.

Now he's pouting because Waldo got to be the dog in my last two books, Jasmine's Heart and I Don't Like That!. Sorry bud.

And I really am picky, but with the help of Bill G's gentle guidance, to whom this book is also dedicated, I've had to learn not to throw the proverbial baby out with the bathwater.

I wrote this book to teach children that very life lesson.

Here's a peek into the rest of the book:

Unable to cope with some frustrations during dinner, Henrietta makes such a fuss that she's sent to bed.

Henrietta decides to teach everyone that she really is the boss.

She's hidden some forbidden bubble gum under her mattress, and blows a bubble so huge that it encapsulates her. They float out the window and up into the night sky.

At first, Henrietta is happy to be away from everything she doesn't like at home. But then she realizes what she has left behind. With a bit of luck, she's able to float back home and change her thinking.

I Don't Like That! and my other two children's picture books are available for purchase on Amazon by clicking on the blue text and scrolling down to see my 3 books.

An honest review is always appreciated as that is the only way books rise in the
Amazon ranking system and can thus be seen.

I Don't Like That!, Jasmine's Heart, and Jacob and the Coronavirus are also available in my Online Store.

It's is also available on Goodreads and in the iTunes Bookstore.

Another option for leaving a review is by joining my Booksprout review team. I would greatly appreciate that. You do have to register on Booksprout, which is free. Then you can claim the book in PDF, Mobi (for Kindle), or ePub format (for iBooks and other ePub apps), read it, and a day or two later you can leave a review on Booksprout, which will then post to Amazon. Thanks everyone!
