Jasmine's Heart - my new
children's picture book!

Jasmine's huge heart has room for all the creatures on earth.
Here she is with her tortoise Big Jerry. ‌

I really did have a tortoise and many of the other animals featured in this book. 

Their loss left me so sad that I thought I could never love again.

I wrote this book to teach children to keep their hearts open to love even after a tragic loss.

Here's a peek into the rest of the book:

Jasmine is so sad when Big Jerry dies that she never wants to risk loving another animal
that she might lose. 

So the pieces of her heart that contain her sadness and tears break off,
until her heart is too tiny to love any animal.

With the help of her grandmother, Jasmine realizes that your heart does not have to break from sadness if love and wonderful memories hold it together.
